Objectives:

At the end of presentation, the participant will be able to

1. Define patient engagement.

2. Identify perspectives on patient-centered care.

3. Describe effective strategies for patient centered care and the role of healthcare delivery redesign to advance patient centered care.

Continuing Education:

Nurses: The Georgia Board of Nursing deems Southwest Georgia Area Health Education Center (SOWEGA-AHEC) as an approved provider for nursing continuing education (CE). This activity is approved for 1.0 contact hour towards the continuing education competency requirement for Georgia nursing licensure renewal. No partial credit offered. Activity #2020-04a.
